There! Now you know a little about my ancestors. However there is much more to be told.
So – - – I will tell you about a rather ambitious fellow.
It was about the same time that Olvir had lost his opportunity to marry Solvieg the Beautiful.
There was a young man who inherited Oslo Fjord.
His name was Harald. Everyone called him Harald the Shaggy because he refused to cut his hair until he had become the sole ruler of Norway. Harald defeated all the nearby kingdoms and moved to the uplands. However, he ran into a formidable force at Trondheim. Eventually he won the whole of Trondheim Province.
Harald then set his sights on Namdalen, controlled by the brothers Herlaug and Hrollaug. Hrollaug surrendered to Harald and Herlaug hid inside a grave mound. Harald took Namdalen Province and Halogaland. He put his own men in charge of these newly conquered areas.
King Harald the Shaggy was on his way to complete control over Norway.

Love this……
Thanks for the support Cindy.
King Harald the Shaggy, now there’s a title!
Is this complete fiction of based on actual historic people? Either way I love the story so far! Very curious about where you (or the characters) will take us
It is an real story based on oral tradition and historical fact. Then I decided to re-write it with a little more modern and person tone. Thank you for liking it.
Your writing makes me smile.
Thanks for that comment. No sense in writing without lightening up these heavy lives of ours. A little levity can go a long way. Thanks for reading my posts.
My pleasure. I learn from reading yours and others. Levity in writing is a talent, a gift. Not sure I possess that one. Paulette
King Harald looks a lot like Chris Hemsworths Thor! Hugs to you and Purdy – have a good weekend.
Thanks. I have my heart all set on a lot of snow shoveling. I can hardly wait.
Hello to your whole household also.
