The fisherman is taken to the hospital and is surprised at what has transpired while Ralphy was hunting him down for the last month.

This does not come as a surprise although only the fisher/person and the deceased Ranger have bullet holes in them. How long it will take the experts to figure this out is questionable at best. At least the fisherman is getting care.
But they must be wondering why the fisherman had to drag Ralphy behind the truck. Vengeance has its own Karma.
