The Khan of Katay had a great dislike, or possibly fear, of my father. Every time a Tartar clan decided to attack my father’s people the Khan of Katay would join them.
After a while my father, Yesonkai Behadr, became quite annoyed with the Khan of Katay whose real name was Temujin. Temujin decided to gather all the troops that he could muster in order to drive my father’s people from their homes and pastureland.
A mighty battle was fought. Temujin was thoroughly defeated. His people lost their pastures to my father.
Temujin fled into the mountains never to be seen again.
