Vang Khan decided that he should, as his first step, get my Regent Menglik on his side. Vang Khan sent an emissary to talk about this proposal with Menglik.
Menglik was informed that he had nothing to lose and everything to gain if he would join Vang Khan in disposing of me. It wouldn’t be bad if Vang Khan had just exiled me from his territory – – – but no – – – he wished to put me to death.
Menglik wasn’t about to be included in this plan. He immediately departed and searched for my current camp. He wished to inform me of Vang Khan’s plans.
