Yesterday Gunther took us to task for not knowing about Treadwell.
Well, he did not really take us to task. But since he knows so much more than the rest of us we felt like we were being taken to task.
So this Daniel Treadwell was a great mechanical mind.
With this attribute he helped us to understand boilers; steel plate and rivets and the things that made up boilers.
So now we had a warning. But not even the great Daniel Treadwell could predict all safety issues.
And The New York Times could only report on disasters that had already occurred.

Do we need a diary to warn us?

Boilers have steel plates and rivets and fittings and such things.
Why don’t they have gears?

I wonder that boilers even explode in our “digital era”. It happened to one of our neighbors, the pressure destroyed her window and the door, it was like a bomb.
I don’t know why we are still using boilers in this age. It seems like forced hot air would be much safer.
Of course with all the forced hot air we have coming out of Washington, DC maybe that would not be too safe either.
Thanks for stopping by to read my post.
eeeeks! well written as usual my friend~
Thanks. Didn’t mean to scare anyone.
“Glue Some Gears on it,” is that like “Put a Bird on it?”
Sort of the same thing but not so feathery; more – – – well – – – more mechanicallyiciousesque.
