 16 Secret Spot

He comes here,

every day,

from June 26th,

to September 1st.

Except for when,

there are lawns,

to mow.

He fishes this eddy,

for a period of time,

then quietly walks,

back around the bush.

He negotiates,

the loose rocks,

until he reaches,

the point formed,

by the big boulder.

Then he fishes,

the upper end,

of the eddy.

Lastly he carefully,

fishes under,

the rock overhang.

The fish have become,

his very close friends,

he knows quite well

they wait for him,

every day,

aware,

that he,

will put,

them,

back.

And then they wait,

all winter,

for  his,

return.

And he dreams of them,

every day as he,

stares out,

the window.

The teacher wonders,

if he will ever make,

anything of,

himself.

She never wonders,

if the, fish will

ever make,

anything of,

themselves.

However,

the young lad wonders.
